I’ve been a trustee of The Story Of Christmas Appeal for many years now – this following various other positions held since the charity was started exactly 40 years ago.

This year’s carol service event took place on Wednesday 13th December at St. Georges, Hanover Square in London’s West End, followed by a reception at The Dorchester. The many celebrity readers included Olivia Colman, Charles Dance, Omid Djalili, Dawn French, Tim Henman, Sir Derek Jacobi, Aled Jones, Miriam Margolyes, Sir Tony Robinson, Chris Robshaw and Finty Williams. Finty is the daughter of Dame Judi Dench, our Life President who was also there together with our new President, Ian Hislop.

A new fundraising record!

Fundraising from this annual event reached a new record of £690,000. This year, The Story Of Christmas Appeal is supporting 7 charities: The Children’s Trust, Depaul, Haven House Children’s Hospice, Place2Be, SHP, St. Mungo’s and XLP. We provide capital project support for either homeless people or disadvantaged children in London and the area within the M25. (Edit: you can read more about how the Story of Christmas money is put to use in my follow-up post here)

Every year it is a huge privilege to be involved in raising a substantial amount of money that will makes a radical difference to so many lives. More information can be found on The Story Of Christmas Appeal website.

About Michael Fraser

Michael Fraser

Michael - founding partner of Find a London Office - started in the London property market in 1970. Michael has developed extensive knowledge of the locations, the owners, the rental values, and - most importantly - has developed very solid contacts with the other agents working in the hub of the conventional office market, giving him a considerable advantage both sourcing office space, and negotiating the best possible terms for the tenant.
