King's Cross

Kings Cross is the inner city area north of Holborn, built around the transport hub of Kings Cross and St Pancras stations.

In recent decades Kings Cross, and the area North of the station have become derelict, however, this area has recently become the focal point for major urban regeneration. It is now home to the Regent Quarter development, which provides state of the art residential retail and office accommodation.

The area houses iconic architecture and the station itself was designed by Lewis Cubitt, who built the station just in time for the Great Exhibition. Kings Cross is home to the British library fronting onto the Euston Road and to the North has numerous buildings overlooking the Grand Union Canal.

Kings Cross provides good communications to all of Central London and mainline rail services to the North of England. Notably, Eurostar trains are due to run from neighbouring St Pancras in 2007.
