Holborn is a large area North of the River Thames, conveniently situated between the West End & the City of London.
Some people blandly call it “Midtown”, but this belies its rich history as the erstwhile centre of the Newspaper industry around Fleet St. It remains at the heart of the UK legal system, being home to the Old Bailey, the Royal Courts of Justice and the Inns of Court, which are populated by barristers’ chambers. Legal barristers that is, not the ones serving in Holborn’s eateries and coffee shops!
